I’m so sorry it’s been such a loooong time since our last post. We have a good excuse though, we had a baby!
Here we are with Tessa. She loves to walk with us. Winter has been fun, but we are looking forward to spring and summer when it will be a little easier to get out without all of the coats and hats.
Here are a few favorite photos from this winter in our beautiful valley.
Steamboat Ski Area added night skiing lights. Matt was part of the team that installed them last summer. They sure look dramatic!
And below are a few of my favorite iPhone photos.
I’ve been having a lot of fun lately with these photos taken with Hipstamatic on my iPhone. After I have the photo, I alter it with the Vintage app.
We’ve gotten a lot of snow in the last two weeks. This is the hill behind my house where we usually walk our dog.
And this is a photo of the Spring Creek Trail, one of the Steamboat locals’ favorites. It starts practically in the middle of town, but you wouldn’t know it. It’s a quiet walk along the (now frozen) Spring Creek and a popular place to take your dog, ski, or snowshoe.
Sorry I haven’t posted in a long time- it was a busy summer!
We are having a gorgeous fall in Colorado this year. Around Steamboat, the aspens, cottonwoods, and oak bushes are all changing colors at the same time. That doesn’t usually happen! So Matt drove around and took a bunch of great pictures yesterday.
Here are a couple I took with the Hipstamatic app on my iPhone:
And here we are on an evening walk to enjoy the view!
About a week ago there was a beautiful sunset that was very red because of the fires in Colorado and Wyoming. We drove out toward the Sleeping Giant and Matt took these photos.
Look at that sky!
My parents are visiting and we went to the Yampa River Botanic Park to enjoy the flowers yesterday. It was lovely! I only took my iPhone as a camera and here are some fun Hipstamatic photos.
I really enjoyed the peonies above. But my favorite part was the lily pond!
It was a lovely day yesterday and Matt took these photos from one of our favorite hikes on Emerald Mountain called the Lupine Trail.
And here’s another photo showing the valley with lots of beautiful green cottonwoods. I know it’s finally summer when the cottonwood trees all have their leaves!
